Acquisition

Hi! My name is Cassie, and this year I’m responsible for acquisition for the Geothermal Forum NL. I’m currently a 4th-year bachelor’s student in Applied Earth Sciences at TU Delft and hope to complete my degree by the end of this year. I’m excited to contribute to organizing the forum, as it is a great way to connect with professionals in the geothermal sector and gain more insight into the industry. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors. I usually go cycling or hiking, but anything that gets me into nature makes me happy.

Aquisition

Hi! I’m Max, part of the acquisition team for this year’s Geothermal Forum NL. I’m currently specializing in Geo-Energy Engineering in my MSc in Applied Earth Sciences at TU Delft. And so being involved in the forum gives me a great opportunity to have meaningful conversations with professionals from the industry I’m preparing to enter. Outside of my studies, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Communication

I'm Arif, a 1st year Master's student in the Geo-Energy Engineering track at the Applied Earth Sciences program at TU Delft. Geothermal energy is a core component of the program therefore, it's natural that this forum interests me. I also believe that progress happens when diverse perspectives collide and share ideas so I wanted to help bridge the gaps or biases in their own knowledge. I usually go to the library to bridge my gaps in knowledge but you can often find me on a beach volleyball court playing with friends as well, basking in the sun.

Logistics

Hi! My name is Imme, and I will be in charge of the logistics for the Geothermal Forum NL. I am a bachelor’s student in Applied Earth Sciences at TU Delft and currently finalising my degree while interning at the Adviesgroep Economische Zaken at the Geologische Dienst Nederland (TNO). I am excited to help organise this forum because it provides a great opportunity to connect with professionals in the geothermal sector and gain insights from different perspectives within the industry. I am particularly interested in how collaboration between different sectors can contribute to the implementation of geothermal energy. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, sailing, and going on runs!

Speakers

Hi! I'm Luka. This year, I’m the one tracking down the most engaging speakers for the upcoming Geothermal Forum NL. I’m an Applied Earth Science student at TU Delft, focusing on the sweet spot where technology, geology, and geothermal energy collide. When I’m not scouting for the symposium, I’m a mission scientist and systems engineer at Tumbleweed Mars working on novel ways and new technologies to explore the Red Planet, and a board member for the Dutch Paleontological Society (Paleobiologische Kring). In my spare time, you can find me hammering away in quarries looking for fossils with friends, failing to dunk a basketball, or experimenting with microscopes and thinking of new ways to visualize the tiny worlds beyond our reach!

Commitee support

Hey there, I am pleased to introduce myself to you. My name is Mathias and just like Carlijn I have a supportive role in the organisation of the Forum. As I am in my final year of my masters I will use the knowledge I have gathered on Geothermal Energy and organising various evants to make sure the first edition of the Geothermal Forum NL will be a success! In past few years I have had the pleasure to organise and host events of various sizes, ranging from 20 to 1400 attendees. Besides the academics & organization I have a lot of passion for wine and cocktails so it probably won't suprise you that I make a lot of hours in the restaurant I am currently wokring.
